Materials for Basic Color Theory (All Sections)

*Do not substitute any colors or purchase another paint manufacturer's paint in the list below. Not using the Gamblin Artist’s Colors on this list will result in different mixtures from the lessons in this course.

  • Cerulean Blue, 37 ml (Cool Blue)
  • Titanium White, 150 ml
  • Ivory Black, 37 ml
  • Burnt Umber, 37 ml
• Gamblin Refined Linseed Oil, 4 oz.
• Silicoil Brush Cleaning Tank
• Gamblin Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirits, 16.9oz. (Brush cleaning solvent and used to dilute the paint)
• Blick Palette Paper Pad, 12" x 16" (Disposable paper palette) OR Glass Tabletop Palette, 12 x 16, Gray (I use a glass palette)
• Blick Painting Knife, 5/8" x 2 7/8", Traditional, Style 50
• Fredrix Canvas Pad, 9” x 12”, ten sheets (used for the color wheel and color mixing exercises)
• 3 - Blick Premier Artists’ Panel, Traditional Cradle, ⅞”, 8”x10,” Gessoed wood panel (used for the three still life paintings)
• 1 - Blick Premier Artists’ Panel, traditional Cradle, ⅞”, 9”x12,” Gessoed wood panel (used for the last still life painting)
