Instructional Disclaimer

I always like to share this with my students to remind myself and you that what and how I instruct is not written in stone. It is merely an information sign that guides you along the road of creativity, and I hope that what I have taught you helps get you to the place you want to be.

My art instructional disclaimer

The techniques taught here are demonstrations of how I create my paintings and drawings.

Over the years, I have learned one definitive unmovable fact: There are numerous ways to create art. My approach is just that; it’s how I have found that works for me to create the look and finish I want in my work.

Is it the right way? I have no idea, but it works for me, and I thoroughly enjoy my process and the work when it’s finished. If anything that I have taught here helps you in your creative endeavors, I am glad that I have helped you and strongly encourage you to go and draw or paint every day.

There is no substitution for putting time behind the brush or pencil.
