These are the materials that I suggest to those painters who have moved past the fundamentals and color theory. These are not required in any way but are colors and materials that I use on a weekly basis.
The materials can easily be ordered from Blick Art Materials and are usually delivered to your front door in about a week's time if everything is in stock. I suggest giving the order two weeks for delivery.

Painting mediums
Varnish - Finishing your paintng
- Gamblin Gamvar Gloss Varnish, 8.5 oz
- Gamblin Gamvar Synthetic Varnish Brush, 50 mm OR 2" Brush, for appropriate paint - this can be purchased at your local hardware store. Buy a good one!
- Gamblin Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirits (Brush cleaning solvent)
Have a separate Silicoil Brush Cleaning Tank for cleaning your varnish brush - NEVER use this tank for any brush cleaning with colors.
Tweezers, so you can grab those pesky hairs that inevitably end up on your newly varnished painting.
